Howdy! I’m going to be honest – when I sat down to write this post, I thought I would have a lot more to say. But then I got a little overwhelmed. And a bit at a loss for words. So here’s quick lil’ recap of what has been going on in my life the past few months.
[This is probably obvious but] I graduated from law school!
Back in August 2015 I had a major bit of a quarter-life crisis and decided to apply to law school – less than four years later and I’m officially a J.D.! The past three years have been some of the hardest, most rewarding years of my life, and I still can’t believe it’s all over.
I took the bar exam!
Two months of prep came to an end on Tuesday when I sat for the Massachusetts bar exam. I’m tired, my brain hurts, and I never want to look at a secured transactions outline ever again. Now the waiting game for scores to be released…in 9 weeks. Ugh.
I got a job!
That’s right – your girl secured her first full-time, post-grad legal job. At least for one year, anyway. I interviewed for a clerkship back in June and was lucky enough to be offered a position a few days later. I’m incredibly excited to get started next month!
Finally…we’re moving!
Now that we both have jobs lined up, J and I are officially moving back to Vermont. We’re SUPER fortunate to be able to move back into our old place while we start saving for our forever home. Boston has treated us well the past few years, but we’re looking forward to breathing in that Green Mountain air once again.
And…that’s about it? Sorry if this was as anti-climactic for you as it was for me. I hope you stick around, though…life after law school is going to get C.R.A.Z.Y.
